Oregano
Dried oregano has sweet and earthy flavour with a slight lingering pepperiness. This Mediterranean staple works wonderfully in tomato based sauces and also complements the more fiery cuisine of North Africa and the Levant adding sweetness and depth.
Oregano's flavour is deeper and more intense in its dried form and complements basil particularly well when used in pasta sauces or on pizza.
Stored correctly in Kitchen Herbarry packaging dried oregano will keep its quality of flavour for up to two years.
Fun Fact: The name oregano comes from the Greek words oros meaning joy and ganos meaning mountain.
