Garlic Powder
Garlic powder has the same flavour and similar lingering sensation of "hotness" as freshly chopped or crushed garlic but is less sharp with a hint of sweetness. They dissolve quickly in recipes and are ideal for adding a garlic hit to recipes that do not necessarily require a long cook such as bolognese or no cooking at all such as salad dressings.
Garlic powder is ideal for marinades and meat rubs since it releases its flavour quickly.
Stored correctly in Kitchen Herbarry packaging garlic powder will keep its quality of flavour for two to three years.
Fun Fact: Whilst we tend to only eat the garlic bulb which lies below the ground, all of the garlic plant is edible and can grow 1.2m tall.
